Smart home or automation of home devices is a common thing talked of today. In the future, for example, we will be able to control devices in our homes from work offices through a mobile application - distantly we will be able to turn off a forgotten cooker or iron, raise or lower the blinds, turn on the air conditioner or the boiler before returning home. Remote control of lights and electric devices in the house is the reality today.  Device control over the Internet is the next step. And not just control of device, but device information, e.g. consumption, can be the subject of processing that is done on large Internet servers. Thanks to the Internet access, all of this enables us to get information on our mobile phone about our electricity bill and similar data, at any time.
Devices become smart. They will be able to detect our presence and turn on/off depending on our presence (e.g. the lights), or, depending on the outside temperature, they warm our living space in an optimal way completely autonomously, etc.
