Does the world revolve around money? Is everything about gold and riches? What is the use of praise, envy, and hatred? And politics? And democracy? What kind of decisions are made for the welfare of the people and which ones for the benefit of the authorities? Is there any place for knowledge and education at all? One short story from "Gesta romanorum" (a collection of stories from the 13th century) and play "Birds" of Aristophanes, ancient comedian (5th century B.C) will give you the answers to some of these questions. Of course if you learn Latin and Ancient Greek by then!
